At Community Hospice, we want everyone in our wonderfully diverse community to be able to approach death in the way that suits their values, beliefs and lifestyle. Our charity shops are a fantastic way for local people to support the Community Hospice through shopping, donating items and volunteering.

With your skills and experience, you can help us raise vital funds by PAT testing the electrical goods we receive, to support patients living with a terminal illness.
If you have previous PAT testing experience, or an interest in electronics, and you want to make a difference in your community - this could be the perfect role for you.
What you will be doing
- Testing electrical donations for safety and functionality
- Preparing electrical donations for re-sale in our shops or online through our ecommerce team
The skills and qualities you need
- Practical and safety aware
- PAT testing experience is a plus but not essential as we will provide required training
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Desire to support our hospice’s work
- Able to adhere to our hospice values
What’s in it for you?
- Be part of a friendly team
- Make a meaningful difference in the local community
- Receive an induction, relevant training, the support you need to carry out your role, and agreed out-of-pocket expenses (reimbursed within our guidelines)
- Ongoing support and regular communication from the Volunteer Department
