Discover your Community Hospice

We’re pleased to be launching guided hospice tours for our community.

These tours are an opportunity to step inside the hospice, learn more about the care we provide, and understand what hospice care really means for patients, families and loved ones.

Whether you’re a community group, organisation, or individual, our tours are designed to be welcoming, informative and supportive.

What to expect on a hospice tour

During the tour, you’ll:

  • Take a guided walk through key areas of the hospice, including shared spaces and wellbeing areas
  • Hear real stories that bring our care to life
  • Learn about the different services we provide, both at the hospice and in the community
  • Find out who we support, how people access our care, and how hospice care fits into the wider health system
  • Have the chance to ask questions in a relaxed, supportive environment

Tours are led by trained Hospice Hosts and supported by staff and volunteers who are happy to share their experiences.

Who are the tours for?

Our hospice tours are suitable for:

  • Community and voluntary groups
  • Faith groups
  • Universities, colleges and youth organisations
  • Health and social care professionals
  • Anyone wanting to better understand hospice care

We welcome people from all backgrounds and communities. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs when booking.

Our next hospice tour

Date: Thursday 25 June
Time: 10:00-11:15am

Spaces are limited to keep tours small and personal.

Common questions we hear

Many people come to the hospice with questions or assumptions. The tours help to explain that:

  • Hospice care isn’t just about end of life
  • We support people in their homes, hospitals and care homes, not only at the hospice
  • Families and loved ones receive support too
  • Our care is free to patients, but relies heavily on community support and fundraising
