Bank Housekeeper

At our hospice, every role matters. From the care we provide to the environment we create, everything we do helps make people feel safe, comfortable and cared for. 

We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our dedicated Housekeeping Team on a bank basis, providing essential cover during periods of staff sickness and annual leave. 

This is more than just a cleaning role. Our Housekeeping Team plays a vital part in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors and colleagues. It’s often the little things that make the biggest difference. 

What will you be doing? 

As part of our friendly Housekeeping Team, you will: 

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospice. 
• Help create a comfortable, welcoming and safe environment for patients and their families. 
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures. 
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hospice. 
• Take pride in your work, knowing that what you do really matters. 

What are we looking for?

You’ll need to be someone who: 

• Has a positive, caring and respectful approach. 
• Takes responsibility and uses their initiative. 
• Pays attention to detail and maintains high standards. 
• Enjoys working as part of a supportive team. 
• Understands the importance of dignity, privacy and confidentiality. 
• Can offer flexibility to cover both planned annual leave and unplanned sickness absence, sometimes at short notice. 

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience would be helpful, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
