At Community Hospice, we want everyone in our wonderfully diverse community to be able to approach death in the way that suits their values, beliefs and lifestyle. To fund our end of life care, we organise and attend regular fundraising events across Greenwich and Bexley and we’d love you to be part of the team that makes them happen!
How you can make a difference
As a Volunteer Van Driver, you’ll play a key role in bringing our fundraising activities to life. From our Hospice Mini Marathon on 10 May 2026 to the festive magic of our Grotto in December, you’ll help transport equipment and supplies that make these events unforgettable.
If you like driving and want to make a real difference locally, this could be the perfect role for you.
What you will be doing
- Driving one of our hospice vans to and from events
- Supporting with loading and unloading event supplies and equipment
- Engaging with other Community Hospice volunteers and staff
The skills and qualities you need
- Have a full clean B1 license
- Over 25 years of age
- At least two years previous experience of driving
- Physically fit enough to lift heavy event items such as tables, gazebos and boxes
- Ability to demonstrate and adhere to our hospice values
- Trustworthy and reliable timekeeping
