How you can make a difference

Our gardens are perfect for a refreshing break for our patients and visitors. To keep our gardens maintained we rely on the support of our wonderful volunteer gardeners, under guidance of the Head Gardener, for the benefit of all who are present in the hospice and the surrounding wildlife.

What you will be doing

  • Assisting in aspects of gardening including weeding, planting, pruning, watering, sweeping, general tidying and propagating/dividing
  • Broadening your knowledge of plants and how best to use and grow them.
  • Learning about ecological gardening and how to increase biodiversity.

I enjoy volunteering in the garden and being involved in its transformation. I have learnt so much and love seeing how happy it makes others who use it "
