How you can make a difference
Tea and Talk is a drop-in session at Community Hospice for people who want to meet others from their local community. They might be patients being cared for by other teams in the hospice, or perhaps had a loved one cared for by us in the past. Some people have no previous connection to the hospice but enjoy the friendship found in this group.
What you will be doing
- Engaging attendees in conversation
- Facilitating attendees to make connections with others in the group, and to join in with activities
- Assisting with making and serving beverages and snacks
- Completing registration forms with new attendees
- Helping to set up and tidy away the space the session is held in
- Raising any concerns with a member of the Rehabilitation & Wellbeing team.
What skills and qualities can you bring?
We are looking for volunteers who are reliable, enjoy chatting with people and who want to help the hospice provide an enjoyable experience for those that attend Tea & Talk
