Use your skills and experience to help the hospice generate vital income through online sales of donated books. You'll be supported by a friendly team and will have an opportunity to develop your existing skills as well as new ones.
How you can make a difference
The Community Hospice is very lucky have lots of books donated to our shops and we use a platform called Shopiago to sell these online. By scanning and researching donated books you will help raise much needed funds for the hospice so that we can continue to support local people with life limiting illness.
What you will be doing
- Scanning book barcodes with a Shopiago reader
- Packing up suitable books ready for delivery to Shopiago
- Researching higher value books to see if we can sell them for more. These will then be passed to our wider E-Commerce team to sell online on platforms like eBay
Full training will be provided.
What skills and qualities can you bring
- Basic computer skills
- Trustworthy and reliable
- An interest in books or experience of selling online would be an advantage
- Friendly and reliable
- Over the age of 18
