Raising awareness for palliative care

Our palliative care and hospice team recently held a successful pop-up stand at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, aimed at raising awareness about the essential services we provide.

We had an amazing turnout, with over 30 hospital staff members stopping by to learn more. Our team, including physiotherapists, nurses, and doctors, engaged in conversations about the important role of hospice care.

Visitors to the stand were not only informed but also treated to cakes and had the chance to participate in a lucky draw, which enhanced engagement and interaction.

Feedback from the event highlighted the positive collaboration between our hospice and hospital teams. One nurse expressed gratitude for the additional support available through hospice services, acknowledging the common misconception that hospice care is solely for end-of-life situations.

We look forward to more opportunities like this to further engage with our community and continue spreading awareness of the care and support that we provide.

By spreading awareness about palliative care and working closely with hospital teams, we make sure patients and their families receive the compassionate support they need.
