Clinical summits raise £3,525 to support hospice care

We’re so pleased to share that we’ve received a donation of £3,525, raised through a series of Clinical Summits organised by our brilliant colleagues at Greenwich Health, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT).

Last week, we welcomed Sarah Burchell (Director of Physical Health, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust), Eugenia Lee (GP Principal), John O’Donohue (Consultant, LGT), and Ruth Keel (Programme Lead, Greenwich Health) to the hospice, where they personally handed over the cheque on behalf of everyone involved in the summits. It was a kind and generous gesture that meant a great deal to us.

The Clinical Summits were designed to bring together professionals from hospital, primary care, community, and voluntary services to strengthen connections, share expertise, and explore new ways to collaborate in support of our local community.

The donation was raised through ticket sales and contributions from attendees, and it will go directly towards helping us do what we do best: providing expert, compassionate end-of-life care for people in their own homes, in our hospice, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and wherever they feel most comfortable.

Kate Heaps, our Chief Executive, said:

“We’re so grateful to everyone involved in the Clinical Summits for choosing to support our hospice in this way. To see professionals from across the system come together not just to learn and connect, but to give back to the community in such a meaningful way is incredibly special.

This donation will help us continue to provide care, comfort, and dignity to local people at the end of life and we’re truly thankful for the support.”

We’re lucky to be part of a local health and care system filled with individuals who care and who show up, again and again, for the people we support.

To everyone who made this possible: thank you. You’ve helped make a difference.
