At the Community Hospice we believe that every dying person should have the best care, support and quality of life possible.

Over the last 30 years, we have responded to the needs of our community to support people who live with life limiting diseases such as cancer, heart failure, respiratory disease, neurological conditions and advanced dementia. Our expanded range of services and support now extends outside of the Hospice inpatient unit and outpatient services, in patients homes, in care homes, local prisons and at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich. We work in our own services and in partnership with other health and care organisations to help people maintain connections with their community and to maximise their quality of life.

We are looking for an excellent Registered Nurse who would like to join our supportive multi-disciplinary team, which provides pain and symptom control, respite care, complex psychological support and end of life care.

Compassion lies at the heart of what we do so sound communication and interpersonal skills are essential in this post.

As well as the ability to work using your own initiative in prioritising the clinical case load, providing clear instruction and support to colleagues, health care assistants and students within the unit.

As a reflective practitioner with a commitment to the provision of excellent care, this post offers the opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist setting.

We are committed to the development and education of all staff and has excellent educational links with local Colleges and Universities as well as regular internal training provision. If you are interested in working in an organisation which provides opportunities for career progression, Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice is for you.
