Following our sell out 2024 trek and due to interest from supporters, we are excited to announce that Trek Sahara is back!
Our goal for this challenge is to collectively raise £25,000, in line with our mission to support our hospice team in providing personalised care to patients and families in the Greenwich & Bexley boroughs.
Are you an adventurer looking for an exciting new challenge?
Join us for the journey of a lifetime as we trek 50km (30 miles) across the Sahara Desert to raise vital funds for the hospice.
Imagine yourself climbing sand dunes, camping under the night sky and tasting the local cuisine, this trek will cover a vast and diverse landscape and give you an insight into the Berber way of life.
It truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity with no other place on the planet quite like it.
To secure your place you’ll need to pay a registration fee of £325. Instalment plans on this amount might also be possible. Please contact us to discuss this further.
We would then ask you to raise the minimum fundraising amount of £1,900. This amount will cover the cost of most of the trip (flights, hotels, tent and food). You would need to organise your own sleeping bag, personal spends and travel insurance. We would ask that 80 percent of the minimum fundraising amount is completed by December 2024.
For anyone who would like to cover the cost of the trip themselves there is also a Flexi option where you can pay £325 (registration cost) and £965 for the trip. The hospice would then ask you to fundraise £935.
To give yourself plenty of time to fundraise we recommend that participants for this event register as early as they can.
*Please note trip itinerary may be subject to change due to flight time booking.
