Hospice Mini Marathon

You're never too young to start making a difference to people who need it.

The Hospice Mini Marathon is a unique community fundraising event that's made for kids. Not only will your child be involved in a fun-filled and active event, and but they'll be doing something really special by helping us to support the thousands of patients that we care for every year in our community. And that's something they can be really proud of.

Open to children aged 5-16 years, this hugely popular event is the perfect opportunity to walk, run, or jog 2.62 miles around the beautiful Royal Greenwich Park, all while supporting their local hospice.

Whether they’re taking part for fun, competing for bragging rights or simply enjoying a family day out, every step they take will be a huge leap in helping to provide care and support to patients, their families, and loved ones who are living with a terminal illness or facing death.

The difference they’ll make

• Helping us provide end of life care in the hospice, at home, and in local hospitals
• Supporting our bereavement services, offering comfort to families and loved ones
• Ensuring our community hospice can continue to deliver the highest standard of care to everyone in our community who needs it

Raise funds and win prizes

If your child sets up a JustGiving page and raises £30 or more in sponsorship, they’ll be entered into a prize draw, with the chance to win prizes. Last year the following prizes were generously donated:

• Bluewater Gift Card

Every pound raised makes a big difference and gets your child closer to these fabulous prizes!

Event highlights

On the day, there will be plenty of fun for everyone, including:

• Rock Choir performances to keep the energy high
• Tony from Play It on Pans with lively music and beats
• 360 Camera to capture the fun and create lasting memories
• Free face painting for all participants
• Free sports activities from Better Gym
• Meet and Greet with our local Pearly Kings and Queens
• Warm-up sessions by Greenwich Runners
• A Hospice Information Stall—sign up for our Colour Run Party
• Delicious hot and cold refreshments available (a percentage of takings donated to the hospice)
