Something for everyone

At the Community Hospice, wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Whether you’re a patient, carer, grieving a loved one or have never been to the hospice before, we’ll have a group or class for you.

Plucking up the courage to join a group for the first time can be daunting.

You might be worried about finding a class that matches your needs and interests. We understand, and that’s why we’re delighted to offer a variety of sessions. From strategies to manage breathlessness, movement to help with fatigue, gardening tips for those with green fingers or simply popping by for a cuppa, we have something for everyone.

"Can I just pop along or do I need to book these sessions in advance?"

All of our sessions are free and our Walk & Talk and Tea & Talk drop-ins do not need to be booked, which means you're welcome to pop along weekly, or when you can. You'll need to book onto the other sessions because we need to collect some basic information from you before you join in.

Walk and Talk

Walking is good for the body, talking is good for the soul

Join us every Wednesday at 10am at the corner of Bostall Hill and Longleigh Lane by the cricket nets, for a walk around Bostall Woods. No booking is required, just meet us there.
