Our Wellbeing Hub looks after you and the people that care for you
We treat you as a whole person, not just a patient. We help to ease your physical symptoms, but also support emotional health and offer spiritual care.
From physio to financial advice to Tea and Talk sessions (with a slice of cake on us), we want you to feel more like yourself again.
We’re here every step of the way
Being discharged from your treatment team can feel lonely. At our Community Hospice, we’ll welcome you with open arms and you’ll always feel supported.
We’re here to make your journey as smooth as it can possibly be.
Emotional and spiritual support
When you’re facing death, your faith may be of great comfort to you. And for those with no faith, it can be an opportunity to explore and reflect on your spirituality, values and beliefs.
Our Quiet Room is somewhere where you can sit with your own thoughts, meditate, light a candle, say a prayer, write down your thoughts or do whatever brings you peace. The Haven is our multi-faith room and has ablution facilities so that you can clean your hands, arms, legs and feet before prayer.
And of course, your family and friends are welcome to join you in prayer. Important life events coming up? We can help organise or make arrangements for christenings and naming ceremonies, marriages and civil partnerships.
If you’d like to talk about how you’re feeling, our Hospice Chaplain is here to listen. And if you want to speak to someone from your own faith, or with a humanist, we can arrange for them to come and visit you at the Community Hospice or within your own home.
Money matters
If you’re finding things difficult with regards to finances, our team is here to support you. We can help with finding grants that you may be eligible for, or benefits from the government that may be available to you.
And if you’re worried about how you’ll pay for a funeral, you may be able
to apply for a Funeral Expenses Payment.
